DMCA Policy

Freecodes (the "Site") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe that any content on this Site infringes your copyright, please contact us as outlined below.

1. Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that material posted on the Site infringes your copyright, please provide a written notification to our Designated Copyright Agent that includes the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works, a representative list.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information sufficient to permit us to locate the material (such as the URL).
  • Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

2. Counter-Notice

If you believe that the material you posted was wrongly removed in response to a DMCA takedown notice, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where the material appeared before it was removed.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your area and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice.

Once we receive your counter-notice, we will forward it to the party who filed the original DMCA claim. If they do not file a lawsuit within 10 business days, the material may be restored to the Site.

3. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Freecodes will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to terminate accounts without prior notice if a user is found to infringe copyrights multiple times.
