How to Change Your COD Mobile Name

  1. Copy a style

    Type your name above and copy a version at fourteen characters or under. The count beside each result is what the game will measure.

  2. Open the Store

    From the lobby, tap Store in the bottom-left corner, then choose Item from the sidebar. The Rename Card is listed there.

  3. Buy the card

    A Rename Card is 1,000 Credits — the currency you earn from matches and battle-pass progress — so it can be bought without spending money. COD Points also work if you would rather not save up.

  4. Use it

    Use the card, paste the copied name, and confirm. The new name is live immediately, and a three-day cooldown starts before you can change it again.

What a COD Mobile Rename Costs

A Rename Card, and the useful part is that you do not have to pay real money for one. The card is 1,000 Credits — the free currency earned from matches, daily missions and battle-pass tiers — so a few evenings of ordinary play covers it. COD Points buy the same card if you would rather not wait.

The card is in the Store under the Item tab, which is the single most common reason players think the game has no rename option at all. It is not in the featured carousel and it is not with the crates.

Free Rename Cards also appear in event reward tracks. They are worth using promptly: event-issued cards frequently carry a short expiry, and one that lapses in your inventory is simply gone.

However you get the card, changes are limited to one every three days. That cooldown is on the account, not the card, so holding a spare does not shorten the wait.

Which Symbols COD Mobile Accepts

COD Mobile is the strictest game covered here. The name field is built around letters, numbers and the underscore; blank spaces and punctuation-style special characters are refused, and offensive or blocked words are rejected by a filter before the name is saved.

Underscores are why so many COD Mobile names use one where a space belongs — it is the one separator the field reliably takes. The stylish letters from the generator are ordinary Unicode characters rather than symbols in the punctuation sense, which is what makes them worth trying, but a heavily framed style is more likely to be turned away here than in Free Fire.

Because a rejected attempt is a wasted trip through a three-day cooldown, the sensible order is to check the character count first, prefer a lettering style over a frame, and keep a simpler fallback ready.
